Kunzum Book Club: Meet Authors Neha Sinha and Mihir Vatsa as They Discuss Nature Writing in a Unique Book Talk

Kunzum Book Club is proud to present a book talk on nature writing with the award-winning conservation biologist and author, Neha Sinha, and 2022 Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar winner, Mihir Vatsa. Sinha heads Conservation and Policy at Bombay Natural History Society, one of the world’s oldest conservation organisations. In 2017, she was awarded by Sanctuary Nature Foundation for her service to wildlife. She is also a popular nature columnist for Mint Lounge and The New Indian Express. Her debut book, Wild and Wilful, draws the portraits of 15 iconic wildlife species found in India: from tigers to crocodiles, cobras, and dolphins. The book compels you to make space for every kind of creature.

Mihir Vatsa’s debut non-fiction book, Tales of Hazaribagh, won him the 2022 Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in English. The book is an intimate exploration of self and nature that combines history and travel writing. Vatsa is a doctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has also bagged the Srinivas Rayaprol Poetry Prize, the Toto Award for Creative Writing in English, and the Charles Wallace Fellowship at the University of Stirling, UK.
