“Who doesn’t love shayari, more so at night when it gets even better” – These are the words of Fouzia Dastango who has agreed to a special performance of shaayari recital covering feminism, love, loss, beauty and romance.
About Fouzia Dastango: As her name suggests, Fouzia is an artist of the 16th century oral storytelling art, Dastangoi. The word Dastangoi is derived from the Persian word ‘dastan’ which means ‘a story’ and ‘goi; which means ‘to tell.’ Fouzia has done over 300 shows across India and internationally including The Sufi Route Concert for Peace, Jaipur Literature Festival, Mahindra Sanatkada Festival, Lucknow Literary Festival, Jashn-e-Rekhta and more.
