Kunzum Book Club is proud to present a book talk with author Amitava Kumar and poet Abhay K. Abhay is an Indian poet and diplomat who serves as the Deputy Director General of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, New Delhi. He has not only penned several poetry books but has also edited various anthologies of poetry and fiction. At Kunzum, he will discuss his latest edited collection, The Book of Bihari Literature, which captures the vibrant regional literature of Bihar spanning centuries.
Author of over a dozen books, Amitava Kumar is famous for analysing and portraying the state of our flawed world in his works, most notably in the award-winning Husband of a Fanatic and A Foreigner Carrying in the Crook of His Arm a Tiny Bomb. His latest book, A Time Outside Time, also offers an insight into our present post-truth world and the Orwellian hand of the state in shaping narratives. He will be in conversation with Abhay K. on his short biography of Patna, A Matter of Rats, which also features in Abhay’s anthology.
