Kathmandu – Postcards from Nepal: e-Book

kunzum-nepal-kathmandu-hc

Many moons ago, someone turned the music off in Kathmandu, the subcontinent’s original party town. But you cannot keep a good thing down for long. Nepal’s capital is rocking again, albeit to a slightly different tune.

Ajanta and Ellora, and other Attractions of Aurangabad, Maharashtra in India: e-Book

Ajanta and Ellora, and other Attractions of Aurangabad, Maharashtra

Go to Aurangabad even before you visit Agra

Astounding! This is the only expression I can think of to describe the caves at Ajanta and Ellora around Aurangabad in Maharashtra. These could only have been the works of those with special skills, an extraordinary sense of art and possibly some supernatural powers. The Taj Mahal should gracefully admit it is not the greatest monument built in India. Get set to be overwhelmed when you tour the caves of Ajanta and Ellora. What you get here is just a peek; even a tome cannot do justice to these wonders.

Ladakh: The Buddhist Festivals

E-Book: Ladakh - The Buddhist Festivals

About the E-Book: Ladakh, located in the high altitude Himalayas in northern India, is the sacred land of Buddhists. Staying isolated from the rest of the world for a good part of the year has enabled Ladakhis to preserve and practice their religion like they have for centuries. And it shows in the Buddhist festivals, annual events at most monasteries. Come, enjoy glimpses of these unique traditions.

Ladakh: The Buddhist Circuit

Ladakh - The Buddhist Circuit

About the E-Book: You have to hand it to the Buddhists. For centuries they have gone about practicing and preserving their religion, not diluting its essence over generations, and continuing to command the respect and veneration of the followers of this faith. Their art and architecture has been admirable throughout – and they managed to perch their installations on sites you can barely trudge up to. Modern day builders cannot emulate these. Go on the Buddhist circuit in Ladakh in India to feel all this for yourself.
