Day 7: In Liverpool
When you are in Liverpool, you have to touch the spirit of the most famous sons of the city – at the Beatles Story. This museum walks you through the life of the band from its formative years, with visuals and props bringing them alive for the two hours spent inside. I am not very knowledgeable about music, but even I got the goosies during the tour.

We stepped out and headed to the Tate Liverpool for a special showing of works of art by Jackson Pollock – it brought back memories of the movie on the artist starring Ed Harris in the lead. It was then time for the River Explorer cruise on the Mersey river – it showed me much of what Liverpool has to offer, with seagulls for company.

I took a few hours off after this, lazing in a lovely café in the city centre followed by dinner. And retired early.
