Ladakh is great to visit any time of the year, and more so when any of its Buddhist festivals are taking place. Each of them are worth attending – from the big ones at Hemis monastery to the lesser known ones. Here is a calendar for the years 2011 – 13 so you can plan trips around these.   1. It just came to my mind that our travel dates to drive in ladakh are coinciding with the Ladakh Festival dates from 1st to 15th Sept. So I guess during this time Leh will be super crowded and so it will be difficult to get accommodations as well as permits to off beat routes like Chusul? Also how is the scenario in the entire region during these festivities.
