Nitin and Nithin

Kunzum Travel Cafe is pleased to invite you to a Travel Talk – ‘2 Bikes, 15 Days, 3000 Kilometers… A ride to the land of passesat 6:30 pm, 29 Oct, Friday. Nitin and Nithin will be hosting the talk, and this is what they have to say to be able to entice you to join them ;)

Before sunrise on a summer day this July, two bikes set out from Delhi with their respective riders towards the Mecca of bikers they call Ladakh. Actually no, they set out to pick a fight with one of the most enchanting roads known to mankind, the Manali-Leh highway.

The journey was peppered with prickly surprises and rewarded at each turn with soul stirring beauty. A celebration of unadulterated nature, which the great Himalayas hold on to with the help of intimidating passes. Passes that pick and choose the ones who are allowed to cross them, and when. Paths that challenge your skills, your machine and question who you are, under your sun tanned skin.

We, Nitin and Nithin, wish to share with you our stories about this two week long journey, about how friendships are found and forged best in the wilderness, how nobody travels alone in the mountains and how there is no such thing as ‘one last trip’ to Ladakh…
